It's almost Spring and a perfect time of year to celebrate the 5th birthday of an adorable little girl called Hailey.
The party was held at Cottage in Emmaus and in a matter of hours, the store was changed into a perfect venue for 8 little girls ready to celebrate.
What better way to celebrate Spring than decorating flower pots and then planting some pansies? I hand-painted each pot first so the girls had a good base to start and then picked up bug, ladybirds and spring stickers to decorate them. Each girl arrived and was given a gardening apron, hand appliqued with flowers to match the theme, and got straight to decorating.
The table was set with place settings made from flowerpots with each girls initial and a pinwheel on each pot. I had given up on my search for pastel pinwheels and decided to make my own at the last minute. I had also spray painted a branch, covered it in paper roses and hung pictures of Hailey at different ages. A sign hung with "look how fast she's growing" continued the theme, while paper lanterns and giant flowers hung from the ceiling and completed the garden party look.
The dessert table held a mixture of flower shaped chocolates tied with ribbon, jars of pastel candies, cookies in the shape of number 5, pb&j sandwiches cut out in a bunny shape and peeps in all different colors. (A special request from Hailey.) Pink lemonade was served in polka dot cups too.
Thank you Hailey and her mom Amy for choosing the loveliest theme and for letting me host your party.
Wonderful Parties, design ideas and lots of pictures xoxo
