When I was asked to plan this little boys birthday for the second time, I knew I was in for a treat. He is the sweetest, spunkiest kid around and I knew I would have to pull out all the stops to top his Lego Party from the previous years.
He loves Super Mario and also liked lots of fun activities that keep an active littel boy occupied. I had to think of a mixture of crafts that everyone would love to games and decorations for the theme.
First stop was ordering the awesome brick wallpaper and some boxes from Amazon. I knew I wanted to recreate the game in real life and for that you need a lot of props!! We needed somewhere that we could jump for gold coins, build giant towers and capture Yoshi eggs in a special themed treasure hunt.
Crafts included making Piranha Flower Pots - these are not quite finished but they looked great at the end, coloring Super Mario pages, trying on silly mustaches and taking photographs in front of the back drop. The food table was completed with the most amazing cake, some giant piranha's made from styrofoam balls and lots of cookies, popcorn and brownies shaped like bricks. All had themed cards and looked great on the brick tablecloth. No Mario party would be complete without pizza too!!
Wonderful Parties, design ideas and lots of pictures xoxo
